How much stuff and what size truck. A studio is different from a 4-bedroom house. We figure this out from your quote details. No inspection needed for most jobs.

The access

Lift bookings, stairs, narrow driveways, parking distance from the door. These all affect time on the job. We price honestly for what's there. No game playing.

The distance

Local move within a suburb? Cross-coast? Interstate? Distance affects fuel and travel time. We're upfront about what each leg costs.

What's your hourly rate?

Most Gold Coast jobs land around $149 an hour for 2 movers + truck, with a 2-hour minimum. How is the final price calculated?

Three things. The size of the move (how much stuff, how big the truck needs to be). The access at both ends (stairs, lift, parking distance). The travel between addresses. We work that into a single number before you book. No surprises on the day.

Why around $149 an hour and not less?

The Gold Coast median for two movers and a truck sits around $149 per hour. Anything advertised below $120 usually means one of three things: an inexperienced crew that takes twice as long, hidden fees that show up on the invoice, or a no-show. Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. The hourly rate covers everything from the moment we pull up to the moment we drive away. No separate trip charge.

Do you charge extra for stairs?

No. Stairs at either end don't add a separate charge. Stairs make the work take a little longer, sure, but we've already factored that into the hour count when we quote. No surprise stair fee on the day.

What if my move takes longer than expected?

If we quoted you a fixed price, that's what you pay regardless of how long the day runs. If we quoted hourly, we charge for actual time on site, billed to the nearest 15 minutes. We tell you which we're doing before you book.

Do you charge weekend or after-hours premiums?

Same typical rate Monday through Sunday for residential moves. After-hours commercial work (overnight office relocations, etc.) is quoted on a job-by-job basis.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes, a 2-hour minimum, which is industry standard. Most jobs run longer than two hours anyway, so this only kicks in for very small pickups (single item, short loading-only work). Call us, we'll give you a straight answer in a minute.
