Removalists Surfers Paradise

Local removalists who know the Surfers towers.

Our depot sits on Paradise Island, three minutes from Cavill Avenue. We have moved residents in and out of Circle on Cavill, Chevron Renaissance, Q1, Soul, the Hilton, the Wave, and the apartments along Orchid Avenue, plus the houses on Chevron Island and Isle of Capri. We know the lift booking systems, the loading bay heights, and which streets close during Schoolies. Most jobs around $149/hr for 2 movers + truck.

Local depot

We are based here, not driving in.

LOG's home base is at 30-32 Paradise Island, off Surfers Paradise Boulevard. That means our trucks roll out from inside the suburb on the morning of your move, not from a depot in Yatala or Brisbane. If your move is in Surfers, we are usually on site within 15 minutes of leaving the yard.

The towers around Cavill, Orchid Avenue and the Esplanade need building access just as much as they need lifting strength. We have worked with the management offices at most of the big buildings, so when you give us the address we already know whether the service lift takes a fridge, what the loading bay height limit is, and whether we need a building bond on the day. Less of that on you to chase down.

For houses, the back streets of Chevron Island, Isle of Capri and Budds Beach can get tight when a truck has to navigate between palm trees and mailboxes. Our rigid trucks are sized for residential access, not the 12-tonne pantechnicons that get stuck at the second corner.

Same standard, every job

What you get on every Surfers move.

01 / Building access

Lift booking coordination.

We liaise with the building manager about service-lift access and the bond, so you do not end up rescheduling at 7am because the lift was not booked.

02 / Free assembly

Disassembly and reassembly.

Beds, dining tables, modular sofas, wardrobes — pulled apart at the pickup, rebuilt at the new place. No extra charge.

03 / No surprise fees

No charge for stairs.

If the service lift is out — it happens — we still do not bill stairs as a separate line item. We just plan for the time.

04 / Protection

Wrapped and padded.

Floors covered, doorways padded, every item wrapped in moving blankets and shrink film before it leaves the apartment.

05 / Pricing

Fixed quotes available.

You decide before booking whether you want hourly billing or a fixed price. The quote stays the quote.

06 / Insurance

Fully insured.

Public liability and goods-in-transit cover, ABN registered Feb 2019. Building managers can get a copy of the COI on request.

I had the pleasure of hiring the team at LOG Removal & Transport to move a mattress over a patio roof to the second floor of a property, and I couldn't be more impressed. Lucas and Gabriel were incredibly professional, and their attention to detail was top-notch. They carefully navigated the roof and handled everything with such care. You can tell they're very competent and experienced.

Surfers Paradise FAQ

Common questions about moving in Surfers.

Do you handle lift bookings in Surfers Paradise towers?

Yes. Most of the big buildings — Circle on Cavill, Chevron Renaissance, Q1, Soul, Hilton Surfers, Mantra Towers — require a lift booking and a refundable bond for the service lift. Tell us the building when you book and we coordinate with the building manager. We bring our own lift padding so the bond rarely gets touched.

My building has restricted parking. Where do you load?

Most Surfers towers have a loading bay or service-vehicle bay in the basement carpark, accessed via a service ramp with a height clearance — usually 2.6m to 3.1m. Our trucks are sized to fit. If the building only has metered street parking, we can use the council short-stay loading zones on Cavill, Orchid, or Surfers Paradise Boulevard, depending on the address.

Can you move a furnished holiday-let apartment?

Yes, we do these often. Investors swapping a furnished unit between buildings, owners taking a unit off short-let to live in, or new owners receiving a furnished settlement. Tell us what stays and what goes when you book and we will tag-and-load it accordingly. Most furnished one-bed moves run 3 to 4 hours.

How do you handle moves during big events like Schoolies or NYE?

We avoid the road closures. Around Schoolies (mid-November) and New Year Eve, the Esplanade and parts of Cavill Avenue close from afternoon into the night. We book those moves for early morning slots, well before any closures, and route the truck through Ferny Avenue or the Gold Coast Highway rather than the beach strip.

Are penthouse moves more expensive?

Not because of the floor number — the lift does the work either way. Penthouse moves cost more when the contents are bigger or heavier (more furniture, heavier custom pieces, sometimes pianos or pool tables) or when there are two service lifts to coordinate. We quote based on contents and access, not floor height.

Do you cover Chevron Island, Isle of Capri, and Budds Beach?

Yes. Those areas come under Surfers Paradise for our purposes — a 5 to 10 minute drive from the main strip. We service moves to and from there at the same hourly rate, no surcharge for the bridge crossing.
